About Me
Hi, I’m Amy. Science communicator, digital strategist, and lifelong curious person.
I’ve always been a little bit of a hybrid: creative, but drawn to science; analytical, but empathetic. My background has been built with bricks of microbiology and physiology, copywriting and editing, and a little bit of this and that in short courses. At heart, I’m a translator; someone who loves helping people understand the world around them, whether through storytelling, data, or design.
My career has blended strategy, leadership, storytelling, and data. I’ve led teams, scaled digital content operations, and shaped SEO and publishing strategies for science-forward brands. But what drives me is simpler than that: I believe information should be accessible. Clear. Grounded. And even a little bit fun.
I grew up in the Highveld in South Africa and now live in Cape Town. When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me catching sun, running against the wind, or nerding out about whatever book I’m reading.
This site is a home for all my bits and bobs – a place where science, creativity, and strategy collide.
